Author name: Darius Washington

Darius Washington is a Black grooming journalist and barber culture historian from Atlanta. He grew up in his uncle's barbershop on Cascade Road, where he learned that the chair is more than a haircut, it's community. Darius studied journalism at Howard University and spent five years writing for men's lifestyle publications before joining CulturedGrooming to build the Black grooming resource he always wanted: one that respects the culture, knows the science, and doesn't just slap 'for coarse hair' on generic advice.
